Daisy....are those the Duff style roses? If not, would you be willing to share how you did them?! I love the perfectly sweet look to them!

No, I used the tutorial in this book:

http://www.countrykitchensa.com/catalog/product.aspx?T=1&productId=613713

Which also is sold with a kit that comes with all the cutters used to make the flowers in the book. The only part I changed was I used 5 petals instead of 4 on the 2nd row and 6 instead of 7 on the 3rd row. I also skipped furling the petal in different directions and just put the on straight.

I have that book and cutters, so that's great! I just haven't really tried anything from it yet. I do like the look of the roses with the petals all furled and shaped, but for certain things your style would fit better. I just made cucpakes for twin 2 yr. olds last weekend and piped roses and kept thinking they seemed so 'mature' for such little girls, but it's what their mom wanted. These would have been so much better in my opinion. Thanks for the help!

These were my last 2 cakes...one never made it to the main page and the other was on for only a few minutes. The baby shower cake was my second 3 tiered cake and first time making a 3D figure. It was also the first time I made a cake for an actual party. The Vs bag was my second but I think it turned out better than the first one...

Thanks for looking!!

Here's my undernoticed cakes. I made this for my sister in law's baby shower. I don't know if it was the pregnancy hormones or what but when I presented it to her it made her tear up. It's my first sculpted cake, first basketweave and first attempt at bc roses. lol, still needs some work. I'm excited with how it came out, I'm new to the "cake scene" but totally addicted to CC.

This cake I made for my boyfriend's luau birthday with 70+ people. It's my first time with fondant, tiers and supports. All the decorations are edible and it was a big hit at the party!

This is a great thread! Since I read it I thought I might as well post one of mine. This was my most recent cake, and had very few views.

I made this a couple of weeks ago. It's my most difficult cake yet and I was really pleased with it but it's in a category that doesn't get many views or comments icon_sad.gif

Thank you for starting this thread, it's great! I was wondering why I never saw my cakes in the front page...I started to think that it was because my cakes are not that pretty icon_redface.gif

Hi, I don't know why but I've tried many times to put comments on your cakes and I can't...the comments won't show. I hope they don't all show up at once! if it does, sorry...I just can't see the comments I put.

The comment function on CC is not working right now, hopefully it will be fixed soon.

I think there is an issue with the commenting on the site right now because everytime I comment on a cake it says the comment has been added but then it never shows up! I've heard others say the same so I'm thinking that if you've just added a cake in the last couple weeks that's probably why there are no comments!
