just looked through (and signed) what a wonderful site! What did you use as a base for the site? Like godaddy etc? I'm looking into creating a site at some point (though I don't have 8 years of experience yet!) but just to have a place that people can go to see my work so I can get more hobby orders!
Any help in direction would be lovely!

One thing I would strongly suggest, is disable right clicking on your photos. that way no one can steal them. your cakes are absolutely gorgeous! Best of luck!

They can see it, they just can't right click to print it or copy it or save it. I do that on all my photos.

Putting your name on the bottom of the page or top, people can still copy it. My DH put a watermark right across the pictures. iIam not a big fan of doing it but I had to. The places you have your name, I could even photoshop the name out and fix it to use it and I am by no means a pro at this.
You can go to my site and see how the watermark is on the cakes, I am sure you can see on many people's site. I never would have thought my cakes would have been copied but in the UK, they were on someone's site and they took it right off my site, not changing a thing. that is when the watermarks went on. I previously had my logo initials on the bottom left of all my cakes, they copied that too!
By the way, great site and as usual, great cakes!

An added note, there are many ways to get a pic without right clicking to copy paste or save. There are programs, a friend of mine has one called "grab it", I know I can get a pic off of a site that disabled the right click ability so I can show a client...I DO NOT pass it off as mine, I just show them and idea. If I can do it, people who know what they are doing, can also.

You should really do a watermark over the top of the pictures. I have one on my pics on my website, I know there are many who have it.

Just an FYI - right-click disable won't be able to stop people from saving or taking your pics (there is a super-easy way around it), but it can slow down someone who isn't very computer-savvy. At the very least, it will remind people that you don't want your pics copied. You can set your right click-disable to have a custom pop-up, for instance it might say "These photos are property of Design Me a Cake." HTH!

Oh, and great site! I love the color scheme!

What a great site. As others have said-your cakes are beautiful. What part of FL are you in? I am on the Space Coast-would love to take some classes-I have taken Wilton 1-3 and the Fondant & GP. Is that what you call Wilton 4? Congratulations on a wonderful site!
