A friend sent me this in an email today and I couldn't resist posting it. I have no idea where it came from so I can't give anyone credit. Someone may know or may have seen it before. Just tickled my funny bone.

I just don't buy it. I think it''s totally Photshopped!
It just doesn't look physically possible on two pillars LOL

I am pretty sure that is photo shopped b/c of the cut line on the cake in half. But still... it is a pretty funny idea. Will have to keep this in mind for a divorce cake.

My first thought was "photoshop", too, but maybe if the split and top layers are styrofoam? There is another fabulous divorce cake in the galleries by one of our members of an upside down wedding cake with the groom squished underneath it all -- similar problems of construction, but all real.

Definitely Photoshopped. The line going up the side and across the top of the cut tier wouldn't be straight like that, and you would see at least a little of the inside of that tier. Also, they left some funky stuff on the underside of the "cut" tier and on the tier below, from the edits they had to make.

If you open the picture in Photoshop, you can see that the top "cakes" are actually the same cake, with the exact same flowers, placements of details, etc. Either somebody is uncannily good at exactly duplicating a cake, or somebody is good at photo editing.

I agree that this was "photoshopped" because the split tier would never stay/stand the way it is as they are unbalanced and also because I've seen this before, too. Here's the link: http://www.joe-ks.com/archives_aug2006/DivorceCake.htm (at least this is where I've seen it before).

It's still funny though!

Creepy and yet funny. Here's one I love. The "dents" in the cake where the groom fell (or was pushed) just make it.

Funny enough, though, I think they're back together.

That's hilarious! Well, maybe more macabre than hilarious, but I love it.
