What type of icing is being used?
If b'cream or royal - then make an apple blossom using any 'rose tip' (#101s thru 104) depending on the size you want.
If fondant or gumpaste - you start w/a small ball that you form into a bulb; holding the thin end use scissors to cut 5 slits evenly around the ball. Using a small dogbone tool (or pointed stick) make a hole in the center which spreads the petals.
Pinch each petal between your thumb and 1st finger stretching the fondant into a petal shape and thinning it. Pull it over the back of the thumb.
Do this with each of the 5 sections. Insert artificial stamen - 1,3 or 5.
