I have the wilton brand gumpaste....I know...probably not the best....how do I make it softer, more pliable? I use shortening while I knead it after I take it out of the bag, but it's not like play-do, know what I mean? Please help, have a project this weekend! Thanks so much ladies!

You can put it in the microwave for a few seconds and you can also mix some crisco in with it to make it more pliable and knead it really good.
