I have some leftover buttercream dream (butter, crisco, powdered sugar, vanilla, &milk) and I have no idea how long this stuff is good for in the fridge. It is going on 2 weeks old now, but I only need a little to make a dam and crumb coat a 6" cake. Any advice would be so appreciated!!!
Taste it! I keep my buttercream for a good 2-3 weeks with no problem. I don't use a recipe that calls for milk though. I'm sure if it's been in the fridge, it should be fine.
Thanks Kim! I tasted it and it was fine, so I went with it. I only used about a tbsp of milk in that batch, so I think it is okay. =)
