I just received a garlic roaster as a gift, and I was wondering if any of you all know if you can cook/roast anything else in the thing besides garlic.

I tried googling some recipes, but the only recipes I've found are garlic recipes.

Thanx!

My nutty mom got me the most useless thing Williams-Sonoma offers-a chestnut roaster-and I use it to roast garlic. It's pretty small, right? Maybe an onion, like Paula Deen does?

hmmm an onion might work - I'll have to try that. I love chestnuts (of course, they are already gone from the grocery stores until next winter here)....

This roaster is electric and will fit up to about 3 average size garlic bulbs - it has a non-stick inside and the bulbs go into a tray. I just figured there would be a '101 uses for your garlic roaster' book out there..... seems like you should be able to cook a lot of things in it.

Maybe I'll corner the market and come up with my own book icon_rolleyes.gif

My chestnut roaster is terracotta with a dome. You put it in the oven. I think electic is much more practical!
