I learned the same thing in a class, that the BC will soften the RI.....was told from people here that it was an old cake decorator's tale. icon_smile.gif I left RI flowers on BC just to try it and while they darkened in color, they did not fall apart, after more than a week.

I flavour my royal icing all the time with extracts. Also you can put RI decorations on BC. I let mine crust first. Someone here told me it was okay to do it and it was! icon_biggrin.gif
