I used the regular Hershey's and they were good. Add ghirardelli's! I'm 35 minutes from St. Louis...I'll be over for a sampleicon_smile.gif

icon_lol.gif I'm actually about 35 minutes from the city, too! I'm out in the Ballwin / Wildwood area. At least I used to be 35 minutes from the city . . . I haven't gone downtown since they closed 40 so who knows how long it would take me now!

I am very excited about these cookies! i made them today to send to my mom for her birthday (she's in KC) and they are SO good. I stole Amy's idea of the Irish Cream mmf and when I was mixing mine, I put 2 T. of Bailey's into the marshmallows instead of the water. It is SO good! It's not bright white, it is rather off-white but that was fine for what I was doing. I rolled a doily over the MMF for texture and then I put chocolate transfers on top.

I did add about 3-4 ounces of bittersweet chocolate to the batter and it worked well - now I have to make the recipe without it for comparison.

Don't add your flour all at once. Add it one cup at a time and let it mix for a moment or two -- you don't want to over-mix. Sometimes dumping the dough onto the counter and kneading it a little helps it come together just fine. HTH!

I caught my DH putting b/c on the "why don't you make another batch to make sure I like them" cookies! I thought the b/c cut the chocolate brownie taste of the cookie, but you should have seen his face when he was caught with his hand in the b/c tub!
