Is It Against The Rules To Swap Or Sell Items On Cc?

I read the terms of use and nothing is said there, but I was just curious. I'm sure there are so many books and other things people would like to check out before buying, you know? Or swap to try something new... but is it against the rules? Or is no one else interested?

That's a good question -- I have so many cake books and want to unload some of them... Plus I'm always going through my cake tools and thinning out the pile, I'd love to have an online garage sale for fellow cake decorators!!

Yes it is against the rules to offer items for swap or sale on the CC forums.

How about posting a link to your ebay auction?

thanks, I figured it must be as I didn't see anyone swapping, but in my quick search, I only saw no advertising rules for business, so I wasn't sure! Doesn't hurt to ask, right?

you can post a small text link in your signature to the auction, but you cannot post for the sake of advertising your auction. Your posts must actually contribute to a discussion.

Thanks Heath for the clarification. I had some fondant tools, cake stands and cook books I ws interested in offering, but I will defer to Ebay.
