Why not chocolate covered strawberries? Or chocolate cups for truffles/cake balls.

we were discussing different cake ball combos in another post and we came up with......

a doctored vanilla cake w/ rose water
champagne binder
dipped in chocolate

for the usual valentine's day of roses, champagne, and chocolate. or i think a strawberry cake would do good with this too.

I did choc covered strawberries last year, turned out real well. Everyone wants to know if I will do them this year.

Thank you, I found the boxes and celophane at BIG LOT'S. They are almost fighting over them if someone didn't show up for work.

I've been looking for an idea, too. All I can think of are chocolate, hearts, red berries(strawberries, cherries, raspberries), and roses. Rose, lips or heart shaped cookies. Nothing has really jumped out, yet.

How much would you charge for your chocolate covered strawberries including the box and cellophane wrap?

I called 3 chocolate stores here in St. Louis. One store said they charged 4,6,and 8 dollars for their (per strawberry) strawberries depending on size. The other two stores charged 17.95 a pound.

I would love to know what everyone here charges.

What about a Love Bug Cookie Bouquet, Or a I'm going ape for you cake using the small stand up bear on a round 10 inch. Just popped into my head. Hope this helps. icon_biggrin.gif
