Okay sorry but I couldn't get an attachment option in the "Lounge", so I'm putting this here
Okay so my husband and I got our tree last minute - Dec. 15th. But it's awesome We just went to Target and got a kit that's a bunch of ornaments and stuff all in a box - so even if you have no decorating talent at all - you can have a pretty tree!!!
So what does your tree look like? (oh by the way - my family ornaments and fun ones are hidden on the tree too )
Great Tree!!!
My tree is special: my husband is an overseas boat captain and is home this year for Christmas - first time ever since 1979!!!
When I knew he was really coming home (about the first or second week of December), buddy I went and got a tree and all the decorations I wanted
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!! Be thankful of him/her being around all the time!!
I'm a bit odd in that I like to have themes for the tree each year. We have a traditional theme which is a bunch of odds and end ornaments collected over the years with multi color lights and then there is the gold and white tree which started the whole "themed tree obsession". I even made everyone wrap their presents in gold and white paper to match it!
I know I know but it looked gorgeous in the pictures....now the last two years I have done a red and white tree. It has lots of peppermint looking ornaments and snowmen and santas. And yes the wrapping paper has to be red and white!!!
Anyways this is the only pic of the "peppermint tree" I have this year.
Yeah fun!!! I hope we get a lot of pictures here - it's great to see everyone's creativity in other areas too
Merry Christmas everyone!
And hey - if you got a cool Menorah (sorry if I misspelled) you can post that here too!!
What a fun thread! I am going to wait until it is dark, because that is when my tree looks prettiest.
Imarsty what color is your walls. I love that too. Mine is similar (showed up lighter in the second pic than it really is) . Mine is winter wheat. I have 3 walls that color and one Moss then accented in cherry and cranberry.
Sorry it's sideways but I think you get the idea. This is by far the biggest tree we have ever had it's 10 feet tall. So tall that I couldn't get the topper on the top so we had to nestle it as high as we could LOL. I plan to go and raid Cracker Barrell tommorow to get some more ornaments.
Hope everyone had a blessed holiday. Say a prayer for our men and women overseas who could not be here with us today.
Merry Christmas to all.

Tuggy I love the pink! I have been thinking of doing a pink theme! Not sure the family would go for it though but maybe one year!
Here is our Christmas tree. This was actually taken last year. Due to a new kitten in the house, this years tree is pretty bare halfway down to the floor. Happy Holidays Everyone!!!
guess it was to big!! I'll have hubby size it down when hes off the phone with his parents ...
I love all of your trees. I personally love Christmas trees. I have a fake tree. My husband isn't as into Christmas and refuses to help put a real one up so I just use a fake one. The lights are my favorite part. I change my tree colors every year. This years colors are white, silver and purple. I also match my wrapping paper to the tree colors. I am a weird o'. I say every year I am not changing my tree and then I end up changing it-lol. Here it is. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.
Everyone's trees are so pretty! Sitting in a dark room just gazing at the Christmas tree w/it's twinkling lights is one of my favorite parts of the season! Here is our tree this year. As much as I LOVE theme trees, DH doesn't like them at all, so I've got quite the mish-mash of ornaments. LOL I do think it turned out nice though.
Merry Christmas!
Beth
very nice trees everyone! Thanks for sharing!!
Oh and for all wondering, my walls are kinda a terracotta color - it was there when we moved in and our funds our limited so it stayed - although I guess a lot of people think it's pretty - so I guess we'll keep it
