Help On Placing A Crystal Effect On Top Of Fondant!!!

It could be that those are royal icing scrolls piped onto the fondant, painted with luster dust mixed with Everclear, and then maybe the crystals (dragees??) were added on top? That's the way I would do it after seeing the picture.

I can't wait to see your finished cake. Be sure to post pictures when you get it done!

To me they look like those swirls were done directly on the cake..It has dragees in some areas...the cake is fondant so if you sprinkle the swirls with edible glitter is not going to stick to the fondant only the swirls..But if you are planing to this on buttercream then you are adding some difficulty on the sprinkling situation..I might take a little bottle of candy melt and see how the sprinkles dispense out of it..Your best bet still is fondant....But thats my opinion...icon_biggrin.gif
