I have the task to make my son's wedding cake .Ummy chocolate
They want it decorated with chocolate cigarello's. I've managed to get hold of a couple of boxes but would like anybodies advise as to the best way of sticking them around a cake.We are using a chocolate ganache for the filling.
I would suggest using the chocolate ganache as an icing for the cake as well and the cigarillos will stick without a problem. Don't make the icing too thin though - they need something to anchor them in.
thanks for the info. Had a feeling that would be the solution.Getting the ganache the right thickness is probably the secret.Have scary visions of the cigarello's dropping off
