Definately auction.... The cake is adorable and should bring big bucks!!!
Under no circumstance would I put a cake like that in a cakewalk as a "freebie" - no way, that needs to be put into the auction, and trust me I could easily see it going well over $100 !
Hi, Your cake is lovely so I'm sure it would fetch a lot in an auction. What's a cakewalk by the way!!

I'm not sure about other schools, but when I was in school it was a bit like musical chairs. Everyone walked in a circle, and there were numbers on the floor, when the music stopped, you stopped on a number. Then whomever was standing on the number that was called out, won the cake with that number.
I'm sure it's probably different depending on where you live, but that's how we did it.
Beautiful cake. I'm sure everyone would be thrilled to try to win this on a cake walk, but if you're trying to get the most money for it, and proceeds go to the school, I would put it up for auction.
Of course, now that I think about it... it might get more people to go to the cake walk, which also brings in money. Where I grew up, people would be less likely to bid on a food item, but would be thrilled if they won it. Now I've gone and confused myself.. Ok, I vote auction, just because not everyone lives in a backward town like where I grew up.. and would probably actually bid on this tasty work of art.
Definitely the cake auction.
Auction. Your cake is too good for cake walk.
You'd raise more money for the school with the auction. A Cake walk wouldn't bring the most money because it would be the first cake picked and then it's be gone, no incentive to spend more money/tickets to do the cake walk.
