any ideas for a cake with some type of marhsall university theme without using the actual logo, because is it licensed. have a customer that wants a groom's cake and he graduated from marshall and wants that particular theme...any ideas? any would be greatly appreciated!

You can write to the university and ask permission to use the logo. Usually they don't mind if they know what you are using it for.

Bakery Crafts also has Marshall licensed edible images available in their kits.

Why not sculpt the mascot of the thundering herd? I think that would make a super awesome cake. You wouldn't have to do a 3D face if you didn't want to, but could still shape the cake and make the face on it with a bc transfer or whatever other method you would want to use. Or you could go for the gusto and do the 3D bull head. Definitely something a guy would like, IMO.
