I have an order for a family reunion cake coming up soon. Anyone have any ideas for this type of cake? Oh, the customer would like it to be a tiered cake.

Thanks!!

I always liked the cakes that have a family tree theme (apples and/or leaves for each family or family member, etc.).

What about something with the families heritage? My family is Scottish and Welsh. If I made a bagpipe cake or something along those lines, they would go nuts over it.

I'd ask some more questions about the family in general. Maybe they are die hard football fans or they all to camping every summer or something like that.

Just throwing out ideas.

I did a stack of books this last summer for a family reunion (depends on if you consider this tiered, but I do b/c that was a lot of dowels). They are in my photos to take a look at. I wrote the "Family Name History" and then Vol. 1 through 4 and then the date of the family reunion on one of the books.
