I had a friend who suggested to use cream cheese in a cake recipe to make something like a cheesecake. Has anyone done this and if so does it really taste like a cheesecake?

Thank you in advance,

Adding cream cheese to cake batter won't make a cheesecake.

However, cream cheese makes a rich moist cake.
My sister's fave is Kraft cream cheese pound cake:
