I was wondering how you guys price a cake that has additional decorations, whether it be fondant, RI, marizpan, etc? I'm just curious. I know a lot charge about $1 more per serving for a cake covered in fondant, but if you take the time to make things how do you go about pricing?

Depends on the things I am making. sometimes I think, that won't take me much time to do it, so I do it at no charge. then other times I realize that it will take an extra hour to do certain things , I go by $25-$50 per hour for extra labor, Like one gumpaste person done really well is going to maybe take 45 minutes to an hour. The amount of gumpaste I use will cost me about $3, no much. so I charge $25 per well done gumpaste person.
