when painting luster dust on fondant/mixed with vodka, does it take more than one coat to make an even color?

I have only done this twice, but for that the first time it did need a second coat, as I had it too thin.
The next time I colored my fondant grey first and then painted the silver luster dust over and it turned out just perfect!
Good luck.

I have golden paste but you can use golden yellow or maybe buttercup yellow. But I wouldn't make the color too strong, just enough to take the white out.
