I am searching for a new mixer... Need to go from my KA 4.5 quart to something bigger, but not as big as the 20 quart Hobart just yet. I looked at a Viking and have had some good comments on the 7 quart they make. Now I see this one and it is $100 cheaper, does anyone have any likes or dislikes? I would like to mix more cake, BC icing and make MMF in it.

Thanks for any advice!

I have heard complaints that the Cuisnart is partly plastic. for a large mixer, you need metal parts.

You will get a much better product with the Viking.

Because of the complaints that the new KA has a plastic motor cover/collar/whatever that keeps breaking, I bought the DeLonghi 7 Qt. Stand Mixer.

It's been great these past 8 months and has a high consumer rating online.

Forgot to say: it has a heavy-duty 1000 WATT motor and a 10-YEAR warranty

I have one and I love it. I would buy 10 of them, but that would just be silly, lol.

I also have a Kitchen Aid and a 20 quart Hobart, so I've used other brands. I like them all. I definitely recommend the Viking though.
