Hi CC'S, Have a ? and need a quick answer. How many box cake mixes do I need to fill a 11x15x2 pan. Thank you, Connie

The instructions that came with my 11" x 15" pan says: "Fill pan with 11 cups of batter (1/2 -- 2/3 full). One cake mix yields 4-6 cups batter. Always measure your batter for accuracy."

I use 1.5 - 2 mixes.

I use two full boxes of Pillsbury cake mix for an 11x15

I use two. With baking strips and 325, it should rise higher than the pan.

I find when I use just 2 boxes my cake is on the flat side. I usually make sure my pan is 2/3 full to get a 2" high cake. It usually take s 2 1/2 mixes.
