Hi, making a cake with an elephant floating on his back in the water would like to create a look of water over flowing down the cake any ideas or suggestions, the only thought i had from my teacher was Jelly ( gelatine ) tinted blue......
You can gently melt I- or SMBC and pour it like ganache (or use white ganache for that matter). Tint some light blue then streak with light and dark blue (even green) then pour. I will set up quickly on a cold cake.
Most of the cakes I've seen with "water" people have used piping gel.
thanks, i might have to do a pratice run before hand, what is SMBC? we have a lot of different names compared to you here in Australia
