How many of you said "What?"
Today, October 23rd is National Mole Day, a day set aside to honor the number 6.02 x 10 to the 23rd power, which is the number of atoms or molecules in a mole of a substance.
Okay enough of the chemistry lesson, bring on the cakes! Because my daughter made a cake to celebrate today, I noticed other CC'ers who did the same thing this year. I thought you all might like to see their interpretations.
Here is chickapoww. She made cupcakes and also has a picture in her photos of all the cupcakes together. She did a great job capturing the official mole image from The National Mole Day web site:

texa made her's last week, he is really cute and I like the way she added the number on the front of the cake:

and here is TiaCakes (my daughter), she had a great time doing this:

What a silly holiday and a fun idea for cakes! I think they all did a great job!
If anyone else has a mole cake that I didn't pick up on the search, please post it here.
LOL too funny! By the title, I thought you meant a holiday for rodents! What cute cakes!!
Yes, I am beginning to think there are only three science nerds on all of Cake Central!!
