Hi there,
I made my first puppy cake this weekend. It was alot of fun, not too much work and best of all! It was my first 'real' order from a 'real' customer with a 'real' cheque written to me for making it. Ha ha.
The mom wanted me to try to mimic her little boy's favorite stuffed doggie, so I tried my best. She picked it up today and loved it.
I promised to post a pic, so here it is. Any feedback is definately welcome. What a huge cake, I used two 10 inch pans rather than the 8 and had to buy the biggest rectangular board I could find. I should have gotten the foamcore, I'll know for next time. The back of the dog didn't look quite right, so any suggestions on how to fix that next time would be great. I wanted to cover the board, but it was too big and I'm still not 100% sure on how I get the cake on there with messing up the fondant. So I just went plain.

I left you a photo comment. The cake is just so cute.
Could you share your instructions? You said you used 2-10's and I kind of see how you did the body and legs, but how did you do the head?
