I suppose this question can relate to any RI but I happen to be using Antonia's for the first time. I'm thinking of adding flavoring for the first time to it and wondering if when you do add flavor to R. I. should it be the same flavoring that you use in your cookies. I used vanilla in my NFSC and wonder if the flavoring I use in my icing now should be Vanilla as well or can I use a differnt flavor with out having a contrasting taste to the cookie.
Any advice you can give me I'd greatly appreciate.
Thanks, Lynda

I would like to know as well. Made the frosting for the first time last weekend, it was great, but I'd like to add vanilla or almond.

I have added orange and raspberry flavoring to Antonia's RI recipe. I actually used concentrated oils so I only added a very small amount. I put them on vanilla cookies and it was good.
