I am making a cake with yellow butter cake and milk chocolate cake. What fillings should I use so that one of the cakes will appeal to anyone. It is for a birthday. i will be using Buttercream to ice with.

I don't want to just fill with bc.

My vote would be yellow cake with milk chocolate filling and chocolate cake with cookies-n-cream filling (find in recipe section).

Good luck!

those two flavors of cake go w/almost any fillingicon_smile.gif
For the yellow cake try lemon; strawberry; coconut creme; raspberry; bavarian creme; puddings like vanilla or butterscotch. Keep it rather neutral for those who don't like chocolate (Are there *really* people who don't like choco? HAHA just joking).

For the chocolate: cookies & creme; raspberry; bavarian creme; I've even had people order it w/lemon; strawberry; cherry and peppermint fill.

All of the fruit fillings can be purchased 'in the sleeve' from a cake supply shop or you can use high quality jams or canned pie filling. For the peppermint, cursh candy canes and add to b'cream.
