I've been asked to do a space themed cake for the opening of a childrens trauma center in my home town. I kinda have some idea's but would like some more inspiration.
I was thinking of doing a 2 tier topsy turvey with silver stripes on the bottom and stars on the top, and a border of silver chocolate balls.
I wanted to put a rocket on the top tier but not sure whether to make it out of cake or rice crispies or just fondant, it's not gonna be big.
and then coming out of the cake in random place will be planets and stars on wires.

does this all sound good?

any other idea's? I'm kinda set on doing the topsy turvey but some design idea's would be great!

thanks
Marina

Off the top of my head I thought of a space helmet and on the visor part of it have like a reflection of the earth or something or the scene from when we landed on the moon would be cool too!
