Earlier today on another post the wilton flower making set was discussed and I was dying to up load this picture but my camera wouldn't work.(charged batteries help). This was my final class III project. I bought the flower making kit last week and had been playing around with it. This cake represents alot of first for me. My first tiered cake, first cornilli lace, and first gumpaste. I realize I need ALOT more practice, but hoped you all can give me some direction as to what I need to do. I am here to learn and all opinions are welcome.

It is there in your photos now. It is very pretty. Great job on the flowers - I love the assortment. The lace is pretty as well and I love that it looks like it was draped on.

Your cake looks awesome! Your flowers came out really nice too. I actually took a gumpaste flower class and I don't think I got my flowers as good as yours. Great job!

The gumpaste wasn't taught in class. I bought the kit and was messing around. I thought they looked OK so I used them on the cake. I was the only one of 4 people to finish the classes and the instructor told me I could do any design I wanted as long as it was a teired cake. I really want to take classes now but they aren't offered here.

Your cake is beautiful! You did a great job with the gumpaste flowers. I recently bought that kit and want to practice with it. I have very few requests for flowers on my cakes...so I guess I will need to practice on my own! Keep up the good cake making!!! thumbs_up.giftraci

I have that kit and have been wanting to try it. However I am a full time student and my time is very valuable and running out, classes start in 3 weeks and I haven't gotten near what I wanted to get done, done.

Keep up the good work. I think your flower look excellent for just starting. Think down the road......
