on how to paint on mmf???? i am doing a 3-d jaws cake that i saw on cakescanada.com..i am really nervous...what's the best way to go about this???? the gal is giving step-by-step instrustions on how to go about it but she is using a powdered food coloring mixed with lemon extact...i have never seen powdered food colors, i only have the wilton pastes...help please!!!!

I would test this before you do it, but I have tried mixing the paste colors with some vodka or extract to thin them out, then painting with them. I've success and some failures.....if you don't have access to powdered food colors or an airbrush, it seems to be your best option, tho...

good luck, maybe someone else will have something better to offer.

just mix a bit of your wilton colors with vodka or some type of alcohol. do not mix with water because it will turn your mmf into a sticky mess (past experience...duh) the alcohol dries faster and is easy to work with
