Hi just wanted to give a little plug on a website that I stumbled upon that has glycerine in bulk (20 oz) as opposed to the little 2 oz Wiltons that I have been using. Its the only site I have found so far that sells it in bulk. (maybe Im not google saavy *grin*)

I dont know about you but I pay 2.14 per 2 oz container (tax and all) and this website below has it for 6.99 for a 20 oz. After doing the math, it cut my glycerine cost almost in half, including the shipping.

Heidi, the person I corresponded with was very helpful. If you have questions she is quick to respond via email. Here is the link below.

If you order/correspond, tell her you got the info from Cake Central.

this is the link to the glycerine page...

Have a great day!!!

You can usually find glycerin and gelatin in larger containers at health food stores. The glycerin in in the home made lotion department and the gelatin in in the "better for your nails" department.

HTH too

I was searching for glycerin also, because I want to make my own fondant for my mom's birthday cake. Buying it is getting TOO EXPENSIVE!! Anyway, I searched it at Country Kitchen SA, and they had a few different sizes. I love CKSA, they are an awesome company, with great staff too icon_smile.gif

Happy Baking,
