I have made royal icing several times, but was wondering how long or IF it would stay good for a period of time. Is it something you can make and then store in the fridge?? Thanks

I keep mine in the fridge and it stays very well for some time, I just cover the surface with plastic wrap to prevent it from drying.

I keep mine in a container on the counter for two weeks. Any longer and it starts to separate and I don't like the way it looks after remixing when it separates. I've never kept it in the fridge and don't think there is anything in it that needs to be refrigerated, unless maybe you made it with egg whites and not meringue powder?

with egg whites it can anly last a few days, and do put it in the fridge. If you used meringue powder it should last a lot longer like pp said
