I have to make a themed birthday cake, the theme is "tarts party" and i thought a 3 tier cake with a pair of legs comming out of the top cake surrounded by feathers, I'm hoping to make the bottom tier look like it's got fishnets, the middle can be pinstripe and the top will have the legs comming out surrounded by feathers, Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on how I coud make the legs or what would be a good alternative? I had thoughts of a doll, maybe a barbie or the likes with shoes and chopping the legs off but I'm not sure that will suit as they may be too skinny. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe you could use RKT (rice krispy treats) covered in fondant. Some people have better luck if they crush the rice krispies first; others swear by using the premade RKT.
