Can you use it or will it be absorbed by the cake?? I'm just trying to find some good basic fillings that people will like. I just never seem to know what to use for fillings!!!

I have taken pudding and then added whipped whipping cream to make a mousse type filling. It was really good.

is the Dream Whip Mousse from the Dream Whip box. It takes instant pudding and dream whip and turns it into an airy mousse -- I use that as filling and everyone loves it -- the most requested flavor uses regular Dream Whip and instant cheescake flavored pudding.

This filling is so easy to make and use and doesn't absorb into the cake completely.

I use pudding as filling in cupcakes and it doesn't all get absorbed, a little does but I'm sure it would be fine for cake. My husband loves pudding filled cupcakes.
