I know I may be a little early, but does anyone know who won the wedding cake contest?

I have no idea, but boy did I feel sorry for those judges. How in the world do they choose. It was amazing!!!!

DH took my boys to go ride rides, and my girls and I spent the afternoon staring at cakes and buying luster dust. It was awesome.

Having never been to anything like this before, I have to ask a stupid question...

Are they all dummy cakes or real cakes?

Exactly what I wanted to know! I didn't get to go this year because of the date change, so I'm dying to know who won the top few spots. I'm extra disappointed now that I read the Food Network didn't cover it this year, now I'll never get to see all the great cakes! Anyone home yet!!!!?????

Anyone check out that Yoda cake? It was CRAZY!!!

My understanding from previous posts in previous years is that they are dummies unless a carved shape then you have to use cake to prove the shape will work.. I have a feeling most of the cakes how ever lovely would not work on a real american style cake due to the time needed to decorate a fruit cake on the other hand would give you all the time needed
