Hello everyone,

Every time I paint my decorations with Sliver dust is very hard to make look like real strong silver color, I'm painting on top of white gum paste, should I make the gum paste another color first and then paint it with silver dust?

Thank you

Add a touch of black petal dust to your silver.

Are you mixing the luster dust with alcohol or an extract? Or are you trying to paint it on dry?

If you are painting it on dry, mix it with alcohol or lemon extract and you will get a more vibrant/deeper color.

If you are already mixing it, you may be mixing it with to much liquid.

yes I'm mixing it with Vodka and I have try putting very little alcohol but it still very hard to cover the white under it. Maybe I need to put a few coats if paint.

Thank you

Don't wait the dust on multiple coats of paint!

I learned a few years ago, when painting my house that if you want to put a deep, vibrant color on your walls to tint primer and apply that first, instead of using multiple coats of the expensive paint to paint over white walls, same concept.
