So last week I made a couple dozen Halloween cookies and packaged them individually to get some orders in for the holidays. I know a bunch of people at our local Starbucks who passed them around for me, the bank, etc.
Well, I took some to a local home-baked market and they LOVED them. I just finished another 9 dozen cookies to give out more samples today. Just when I was packaging them up I got a call from the market, they want to order cookies to sell in their store! Turns out they gave some of my samples to their customers and every wants more. I told the women I just finished about 100 cookies and she wants them ALL!
I'm so happy you have no idea. Especially since I just started doing cookies in March.
The market also wants to sell some of my cupcakes and cookies through Christmas. I'm so excited I just had to share the news.
yea for you grumpy...guess you'll have to change your name to ....Happy or better yet....Busy!

That's funny! Congratulations grumpybusy! Hey where are the pics?!
Yahoo for you!!! That is fantastic news - I hope you can keep up with all the orders! Post pictures of the cookies!
Thanks everyone!
When I dropped the cookies off today, the women told me to hurry and get back to baking....the cookies will be gone by the weekend. Oh lordy, what have I gotten myself into? lol
I'm charging $2 a cookie as a starting rate, more for the larger ones. Do you think that's too low?
Pictures coming soon I promise. Hopefully by the weekend. I've been in the kitchen baking up a storm today for the market and more samples. Already got 15 dozen done...just have to ice them now.
That is so awesome. Your hard work is paying off.
I have been busy baking for donation and samples also. I hope to be in your shoes (busy, busy!) soon!!!
Good luck and have fun!

Aww, thank you all so very much! I open my email to such nice comments, I've had this happy attitude all week. I love it! lol
I love 'em! I especially like the Bride of Frankenstein. How big are they?
All of the Frankenstein cookies are about 4 1/2". It's Wilton's Monster Head Comfort Grip cutter.
Fantastic for you...$2.00 is fair as any higher and people tend to shy away as they find them "Too" expensive.I have seen the Disnay cookies ahere at our c=grocery store which of course are not handmade and are computer decorated and they sell for $1.49 so you are there.Charge a bit more for the larger ones!!! I wish we had small markets here to sell at but in the big city everyone is so Darn scared to buy anything 'Homemade" due to allergy reactions etc....you just can't sell anywhere.
I love the cookies! The little candy corn one is great! Great faces on them all! Congrats on your newfound stardom!!
WOW! They are all so fantastic! Congratulations, you deserved all of your crazy business. Watch out, here comes Thanksgiving...
All it takes is the right person to taste your product! You are a success story waitong to happen! You better put your seatbelt on and get ready for the ride! CONGRATS!
