Hey everyone.....
I am in a very sticky situation...
My sister-in-law and I are donating a cake on Friday for a disabled couple here where we live.
We have planned this for months....But never thought to do a test run of the icing...(poured fondant). If you have the new Wilton yearbook....we are doing mini cakes similar to the one on pg. 97 and the wedding cake on pg.75.
The problem is......The poured fondant is not working well....it shows through and just isn't smooth like the pic. shows....we've tried the candy coat also....the same thing happened.
WHAT CAN WE DO?
Would white Chocolate work?
The mini cakes are white and chocolate cake.
Please can someone help???
Thanks to everyone!!!
Jescar

Let it dry and add another coat.

I agree with CherryBomb...let it dry and add another coat.

I agree with the "let dry and add another coat" I have not done this but from what I can recall reading on the forums is that it usually takes 2-3 coats.
