I want to start decorating cookies just for fun and to share, I have baked cookies for years, mostly drop cookies, but some rolled ones. I have read some books on cookie decorating and want to know what is the best way to start. Is it better to start with fondant or with glace. I like the idea of the glace, but have never worked with it. I have worked with fondant, but not every one likes the taste of it. What is the easiest way to start acquiring the skills and what is the best final way to do it. I want something that will not only look good, but will be good to eat also. Thanks for any help you can offer.
