I noticed that the Meringue Powder I bought to do my icing also has a color flow recipie - can I use this or do I have to buy Color Flow mix? Has anyone done both and noticed a difference between them? I'm curious about trying out color flow.

Wilton Color flow mix in my opinion tastes like dishsoap when you eat it. The difference between using color flow mix and royal icing is that the color flow will dry shinny and the royal icing will dry more of a matte finish. The color is the same, one is just shiner. SO, if it doesn't matter, save your money icon_biggrin.gif

Hi Rainbow,

If you don't like the taste of royal, you can always flavor it. I always flavor mine with a clear extract of whatever flavor I am wanting.
