I don't make a lot of cakes & lately I've been feeling like everything I do sucks so I figure I just need to make heaps of cakes using lots of different techniques / designs etc .....
Here's a couple of little ones I've just done

Also haven't had any cakes to bake for more than a month now and
you kinda feel lost when you can't bake!! Sometimes wonder is there
nobody out there that is having a birthday, anniversary etc.

....why thank you...I have just been practising some flowers... I dont get to make them often...... I have got the bug for them ...i just ordered a heap of cutters ( cost me a fortune).... DH thinks i should stick to making my own, very dodgy looking ones from cans...maybe becasue its the only time I urge him to drink more beer

I think your flowers look awesome! I have to start making flowers for my son's wedding cake topper...I find it difficult to keep the gumpaste flowers from destroying the fondant...if you accidentally touch the flowers to the fondant, it cuts into it...that's my problem..not careful enough I guess..

Anyway, both of your cakes look just great!!!

I used fondant with CMC in it for the braids ( just cut thin strips & plaited them ) , made the hearts by hand ( small cones ,make a cut into wide end & flatten with knife ) , real ribbon around the bottom, teddy, moon & stars just moulded by hand from fondant.....

all your cakes are gorgeous , i am the opposite lately, i have to many orders and cant find the time to practice or play... i just printed the template for the sling back shoes so hopefully i get a chance in the next day or so to make them...
