have a baby shower cake-actually combined shower for 2 girls-one is having girl, the other a boy-friend wants to have congrat...in the middle upper part of the cake-the saying "A's having a girl "on one side, "B's having a boy" on the other, and the babies names underneath-but wants the boy side and girl side different-sort of have an idea but I could use a tweak or two of ideas----I appreciate you all! icon_razz.gif

What if you make it a sheet cake, and make a "frame" of each side. That way, it will look almost like two separate cakes, but on one sheet. The borders around the "frame" can be blue for the boy and pink for the girl, with matching icing for the writing.

Then, maybe do booties in different colors in the corners of each "frame"

You also need to draw a picture on each side. Put a sailboat or something boyish on the blue side, and put a girly thing on the pink side. Or just do other neutral baby objects like a rattle, booties, bib, etc. Look at baby wrapping paper for ideas on pictures.
