Newbie ? Color Mist On Fondant?

I am making a bowling bowl & was going to put fondant on it & spray it with the color mist.

? is....Do you know if the color mist works good on MMF or should I just use buttercream?

Thanks for all ya'lls help. This cake decorating is getting fun icon_smile.gif

Welcome to CC-I'm hoping someone can help you. I have seen sprayed fondant cakes on here, but I haven't done it personally.

I've done it with color mist and "so far so good" with using it. I stop to shake often though and keep back a bit so it doesn't glob on there and run.

Another thing if you have never used color mist... it spray's EVERYWHERE (just like an airbrush).

Be sure to cover your surrounding area well for any over spray.

Well it turned out good! YEAH! I dyed the MMF pink then sprayed blue & purple on it. Then rolled it again to blend the colors good. Then I put it on the ball. Thank God, it worked! LOL!

I looked at your cake. You did a great job with the spray. It has a really good marble effect, just like a real bowling ball.
