When airbrushing with gold luster dust...

What is the best liquid to mix it with?

What ratios should I use?

I've heard that luster dust tends to clog up the airbrush sometimes.. is this true?

Any tips?

Terrisa:
I used gold luster dust front and back on this sugar sculpture - http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=411193

It took many, many, many layers. I used vodka to thin and made it runny then sprayed away. My airgun brush (Kopy Kake) did not clog. If it did, I would have just cleaned it with the airgun cleaner.

I usually use everclear when mixing my dusts. If you make your mixture thin enough it really shouldn't clog the airbrush. It may require you to go over it a couple of times, but that's okay. icon_smile.gif
