I made the gingerbread dough I have made for years. I accidentally put 2 eggs instead of one. I am surprised at the difference it made since there are 4.5 cups of flour. Anyway, I noticed that it was really sticky, so after I figured out what I had done, I added some more flour and a touch of cornstarch. It seemed to be a better consistency, so I put it in the fridge to chill. Is this going to be a disaster? Or will it work OK? Thanks.

Will probably be just fine. Especially because you fixed the consistency. Much like a doctored cake mix.

You'll probably notice a slight texture difference but should otherwise be fine.

They might puff up a little more than you are used to because of the extra egg but should be fine.
