Yummy lorrieg! I take it that they didn't last long before they disappeared what kind of icing did you use?
It's basic glace icing with powdered sugar, water, and corn syrup. And flavouring to taste. I use almond in mine. It's delicious!
This is definitely fall to me. I also did pumpkins and acorns, just don't have a picture handy.
This is a bad picture of my leaves and apples (the apples were my favorite!) I am not at my home computer for a better picture, butyou get the idea.
sweetsnmoore; are yours airbrushed?
Thumbs up to all the great cookies posted...they look great!
Yes, I am an airbrush addict when it comes to my cookies. I think it the lazy thing I have going. It is awesome for the fall leaves though! I wish I had gotten a picture of the cookie bouquet I did for an auction, the apples were so cool! I love my airbrush.
i love the airbrushing. do you airbrush right on the cookie or do you put something down first?????
they're beautiful
lorrieg - nice cookies! I like the mostly red one the best.
sweetsnmoore - I never thought to airbrush cookies... are they covered in fondant or royal first?
birdgirl - those pumpkins are lovely!
thanks bonniebakes! I like the red one the best myself. Of course I like the real red leaves the best as well.
wow great job everyone. I just love fall colors and right now we're having indian summer so the evenings are crisp and cool and the days warm and sunny great for walking in the park and looking at al the trees.
I use a modified version of Toba's glace' and then I airbrush. It is super easy and you can get some great colors!
it's so nice to see everybody baking.
sarahg...i love them. that's such a nice pumpkin orange
karensue.....now that's autumn!!!!! i can almost hear the crunch under my feet. i love the ones with the sanding sugar too!!
thanks, kneadacookie... I think it kind of looks like the tree is on fire, though (NOT what I was originally going for! )
oh, i love it. i love the way the icing just pops off the cookie.
do you outline and fill with the same consistency??
