My Sister-in-law told me last weekend that she was moving up the wedding to next weekend Sept 8th. She said she now wants atropical theme and I have ideas but nothing I am crazy about. I want to stick somewhat with the original colors from before which are pink and silver. But I want to make it topical. Help!

I just suggested this recipe in another thread, but how about a tropical carrot cake for the cake itself? It is super yummy. For the decorations, could you do pink and silver shells? There are some great pix in the galleries if you need some more inspiration.

how about some brush embroidery of hibiscus?

What about Bamboo on the sides of the cake with Tropical flowers(in the colors) on the sides.

The third one is more like what I was thinking. But I liked the last one too. I've seen the 1st one in person, I like it too, it's a display so I think it was darker.
