My son is turning 1 year old in a month & I wanted to do sesame street. Maybe cookie monster or something.
It will be his little smash cake & I'm really having a difficult time figuring out how to make it. I have the flat cookie monster pan & big bird..but I want his cake to be special. Any ideas would be so helpful!! Thank you!!!

Welcome to Cake Central, Rebops!

For a simply fun idea for a smash cake, make cookie monsters face. Ice the round smash cake (5" or larger) in blue buttercream using a tip #233 (grass tip) giving the fur effect and finish it by piping the eyes and mouth. I did an 8" one of Oscar the Grouch for a friend's 21st birthday. It's was a big hit!

I agree with doing the face. I just did my twin grandkids first birthday with Winnie the Pooh. I took the picture from the napkins and put it on wax paper then tranferred the image to the cake. Pooh was so cute he was holding a one.
