Please help!

I am decorating a fondant covered cake with piped on swirls and dots, does anyone have a suggestion for the best type of icing to use. I currently use a swiss meringue BC for all my cakes but with the heat of summer, I'm afraid it will drip and melt right off the cake. Is royal icing best or is there a BC that will adhere to the fondant?

I usually don't do piping on fondant, so am not familiar with this...

Any help would be greatly apprecieated!!!

Thank you in advance

I second that - go with the Royal Icing. Good Luck.

I have always wondered about this too.

If you use Royal, when you cut the cake does it all kind of fall off? How do you cut through the royal decorations?

I've only done it once and I used buttercream only because that's what I was using under the fondant and for the filling and it turned out great. (small pink cake in my pics) But I've also wondered whether or not you could use royal now I know lol tks everyone.

I actually tried Bronwen's BC, didn't get back in here in time to take your advice, but it is appreciated none the less icon_biggrin.gif It worked out well in the end, except my fondant faded??? that's a whole other topic... icon_cry.gif
