Is There A Way To Make Fondant Look Shiny?

Hi- I have read that MMF is shinier than regular store-bought fondant but, I have already bought red Satin Ice fondant. Because of the color, I figured it would be easier to buy pre-made.
Is there a technique for making the fondant appear shiny? I am making a car and I would love for it have a more realistic sheen.
Thanks! I really appreciate all of the help I have been receiving.
Lightly brush vodka on the surface. Let it dry thoroughly before working with it any further, as it does get sticky. When it is done drying, you will have a shiny red car!
Have Fun!
Wow, thanks, that actually sounds like something I can handle doing! I have to ask though, do you taste the vodka?
Another thing you can do is steam the cake quickly. If you have a hand steamer or the burst steam on your iron. Steaming will give it a nice glossy look for two to three hours.
I just got up and tried the vodka out on my test cake...so far so good. I'll try the steam next. thanks for the great tips.

The alcohol evaporates. It doesn't take like vodka. But, then again, fondant doesn't taste all that good anyway so maybe it would be better if it DID taste like vodka! LOL Just joking!!
I have found it abt Michael's Craft store, so I would guess any cake supply store would have it..
or you could lightly dust with some sparkle dust it adss a nice shiny sparkle to the fondant.

Thanks for all the ideas, I need to try these out as well. I don't know what I did wrong, but, I tried painting a little vodka on to the fondant and it did get shiny, but it only lasted for a little while.
